New Photo

Here is a new photo of Miss Lilly Grace. Doctor said everything was still going good. She weighs 1 pound. My question is, "then why am I so big?" A lot going on right now with the holidays. Mike was able to get the room painted and will hopefully get it decorated after Christmas. I would like everything to be done before I go back to Grad. school in January. It will be one less thing to worry about. Just stressing a little trying to figure out what all I need before her arrival. More to come later :)

It's a baby girl - Lilly Grace

Wow, so much has happened since the last time I updated the blog. Well everything is still going good, getting bigger by the day. We went to the doctor November 4th, so excited to find out if the baby was a girl or a boy! My mom and Mattie came with us. Well like her mother, she can be quiet stubborn. She had her legs crossed and after 30 minutes we still couldn't tell. We got to see her face, her arms, and her legs but that was it. Mattie said that the baby looked like an alien and wanted to know why it looked like that!!

So we made an appointment to have the 3D ultrasound done on November 10th. Of course my mom wasn't very happy b/c she could not be there due to my cousins wedding in Denver, that I did not get to attend. Anyway, I had eaten spicy Thai food for lunch with Jill that day and well she was dancing and moving all day long so what did she do when we got there SLEEP!! She did have her legs uncrossed so we were able to see that she was a girl, but no good pictures of her face. We got to see her hand and her ear, but not her face. Yes, I do believe she is going to be slightly stubborn!!!

Even though the pictures did not turn out well we were able to see that she was a girl, which I couldn't believe b/c this whole time Mike and I had thought we were having a boy. Mattie of course said, I told you mommy that it was a girl!! I guess kids do know.

So I have been trying to decide the room, the name, and everything else. Everyone knows my favorite color is pink, well Mike asked does the room have to be pink? Really, does he know me?? Of cours the room has to be pink and we found cute bedding to match.

Yesterday we went shopping and registered for what we think we need. I know you can never be fully prepared so if anyone checks out the registry at Babies R Us and sees I didn't register for something that is needed please let me know!!

Some of the big things we are trying not to be to gender specific b/c hopefully we will have another one and get to use all of the stuff again!!

I will write more soon, have another apt on Dec. 3rd.

Time to tell everyone!!

Well this week hit 13 weeks, so we finally felt safe enough to post it on facebook. Although all of our close friends knew, it felt good to finally make it public. Mattie was so excited that she could finally tell everyone at school. I was excited b/c I could tell everyone I was pregnant and not just getting fat :)

The doctor said everything looked good, had an unltrasound and heard a very strong heart beat, but the picture was not very clear. It is crazy that in 6 weeks the baby has tripled in size. Only a few more weeks till we can find out what it is, still going back and forth on that. Not sure what I want to do?

Well I wanted to update everyone on how the baby was doing. See you in a few weeks!!

10 weeks and 2 days

I had a doctor's appointment today, but no ultra sound :( It was all the routine questions like does crazy run in your family? Really, everyone is crazy!! No really asking all the questions and asking if we wanted genetic counseling, which we declined. I don't understand how that works?? So they say, "you test positive for Downs?" What do you do then, but stress for the rest of the time.
I did ask the doctor why my ankles swelled a few weeks ago, she said well it is 100 degrees outside. I told her I have wonderful friends that just had babies and a wonderful daughter who packed me ice bags for my ankles. It has not happened since, I can only imagine how it will be when we go on our cruise or fly to Denver.
Nausea has hit somewhat, but just the sick feeling not throwing up. My migraines are occuring more frequently due to not being able to take anything, but tylenol!!
Still tired all the time, I guess b/c I sleep till about 2 and then toss and turn until 6.
When is it to early to wear maternity clothes?? Everything that I can wear at a modified level makes me feel uncomfortable and really fat!!
I have tons of summer clothes that my friends have loaned me, but not sure when I can wear them.
The new item I am researching are breast pumps: how safe is it for the baby if you use someone else's pump? You read about the bacteria, but then they sell new parts for it. I figure since I have to go back to work and will be pumping, I need one that is fast and reliable!! If anyone has any thoughts or answers on my off the wall question, I would appreciate them :)

Let me know of any good books, I cannot live without too!!

Back to Ga. Southern tomorrow for class, hope I don't have to use the restroom every 20 minutes :)

First Ultrasound!!

August 2nd = I turned 33 today, and got to see and hear baby Dineen's heart beat!!

Today we are 6.5 weeks along, approximate due date is March 22, 2012! It was the neatest thing to see the baby and hear it's heartbeat. My mom is a little sad, that it is not twins!!

Everything is still going well, clothes are getting a little tight, but still able to wear them with modifications. My mom bought me some new maternity clothes for my birthday, my brother got me a gift card to buy some clothes, and Mike and Mattie gave me some new sneakers. I believe I am all set for summer, but still need work clothes. So if anyone knows of any other stores and websites that are good for work pants let me know. I have had some headaches, but I am sure they are work related!! I have to understand that I cannot change everything, and that there are some things I must accept :) I need a good sleep pillow, I have no problem getting to sleep just hard staying asleep comfortably!!

Our next appointment is August 16th, but I will make sure to keep you updated each week!!

The official "YES"

July 26th, 2011 @ 2:30 pm the official day that we were told "Yes, you are definitely pregnant!!

Mike, Mattie, and I are so excited. Mattie is so happy to finally get to wear a shirt that says Big Sister! My parents and Michael's parents are ecstatic! Although, it is still early we told our close friends and family.

I am 5 weeks along, no sickness yet just a little discomfort in my clothes. Hopefully it stays that way especially since we booked a cruise for October and have a trip to Denver in November.

We have an apt. scheduled on birthday (August 2nd) to have an ultrasound to make sure everything is going the way it should.
