3 days over due!!

Well I thought the next time I updated this, Miss Lilly Grace would be here! She was due this past Thursday March 22nd, and there are no signs of her coming in the next few days. I went to the doctor Friday, where they did the biophysical ultrasound. They saw that she is still moving around, gowing, fluid levels were great. She is in the 80th percentile for her weight estimated at 8 pounds 9 oz.!!!!
They wanted to induce me tonight Sunday, but there were no rooms at the hospital. My thinking is there must only be a certain amount of rooms that they induce in b/c of all the monitoring they have to do. So we have an apt. for Wednesday @ 6:00pm to begin the induction process, but will not actually give me the pitocin until Thursday morning. So hopefully by next Friday we will have a baby!! Unless by chance she decides to come on her own before Wednesday.
I have still been working and I guess I will go in Monday and Tuesday. I figured on Wednesday I will take off to make sure the house is all ready and to have time to myself before we begin to induce. It is going to be a long next couple of days so please pray for our family that she arrives safe and healthy!!

3 more weeks!!

Wow, I cannot believe I have not updated this blog in a month. We have been so busy trying to get everything together and I have been trying to wrap everything up at work, but I continue to say I just need her to stay in 1 more week :) One day she is going to come and I am going to have to turn off work. I have been so busy with trying to get everything done and work and write my first 2 chapters of my dissertation I have recently just realized that I only have a short time left.

The doctors had originally said the due date had been moved up b/c I was measuring bigger, but this week they said it is still the 22nd. She had dropped and I can finally breath and not have as bad of heart burn. Currently they say she is weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces. I do believe everything is ready for her to arrive. We have plenty of newborn diapers since we will use cloth after the newborn stage I have began buying those too. I have my 3 bags packed for the hospital. Why do I need 3?? One if for Lilly, one has my stuff in it now, and one is a last minute throw everything in here like the camera, I-Pad, chargers, snacks, etc...

I have been lucky enough to have 4 showers. My friends did one (excuse for them to have a party:), the pre-k teachers I supervise surprised me with one, My wonderful lead teacher Jennifer did one just for all the special ed. teachers, and then my office did one for our dept. It was amazing, I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends and co-workers. So like I said I think we have everything we need, we are just on wait time now!!

Of course I have began to feel pregnant. It is easier for me to go to work than to stay at home. when I am at home I want to clean, do laundry, etc. just b/c I can't sit still. Then my back begins to kill me. Of course my feel are swollen like a sumo wrestler and my shoes barely fit, but I am trying to make it. I think since it has been warmer that next week I may just have to do flip flops. Plan on taking Mattie for a mani/pedi on Sunday after our maternity pics and soccer practice. Some people say that it can make you go in labor, so we shall see :)

If she is anything like her mother she will be stubborn as the day is long and not come till after the the 22nd. We will keep everyone posted on Baby Lilly's arrival!!

10 weeks and counting

Well I had a doctors appointment this week and she said everything is going great. I am measuring right at 30 weeks. I am very lucky to have such wonderful friends that have planned me 2 showers, now if I could of only counted correctly then we wouldn't have had to modify the invites :) Oh well guess I can blame it on pregnancy brain. One will be at my house so that everyone can see Lilly Grace's room!! Excited because my cousin Katie will be in town and Christine, Thea, and Brandy will be here. At least now that gives me a deadline to have my house ready. Shopping tomorrow for the bedding and anything else we many need. Shopping Sunday for Mattie's room to help make it more of a "big girl" room!!

Excited at how everything is coming together, but still nervous!! We have our first birthing class next sunday and Mattie has her sensational sibling class, which she is so excited for!!

Now that I have to go to the dr. more often hope I update my blog more.

2012 = 12 more weeks!!

Well the holidays are over and now it is time to get back to reality!! We did get to go to Indiana for Christmas even after my episode. A few weeks ago I was not feeling well my stomach was cramping, it was tight, and I just diidn't not feel good. So I finally called the doctor and went in. She was scared it was premature labor and sent me on to the hospital to be monitored. Everything turned out to be ok even though I was having minor contractions. It was a wake-up call to make sure I was eating and drinking enough (never heard that before) and that I needed to slow down a little. I think now that the holidays are over with everything will be fine.

The holidays were great. Mike's family was here from Boston, that was so good to see them. We got a lot of gifts for Miss Lilly Grace. Mike put her bed up and dresser in her room. Still trying to decide what we want to do as far as her changing table. We have the one that was used for Mattie, just not sure if we want to use it or not. I would love an antique type dresser to put in there that had storage. I have a feeling this little girl will have a lot of clothes!!

New Photo

Here is a new photo of Miss Lilly Grace. Doctor said everything was still going good. She weighs 1 pound. My question is, "then why am I so big?" A lot going on right now with the holidays. Mike was able to get the room painted and will hopefully get it decorated after Christmas. I would like everything to be done before I go back to Grad. school in January. It will be one less thing to worry about. Just stressing a little trying to figure out what all I need before her arrival. More to come later :)

It's a baby girl - Lilly Grace

Wow, so much has happened since the last time I updated the blog. Well everything is still going good, getting bigger by the day. We went to the doctor November 4th, so excited to find out if the baby was a girl or a boy! My mom and Mattie came with us. Well like her mother, she can be quiet stubborn. She had her legs crossed and after 30 minutes we still couldn't tell. We got to see her face, her arms, and her legs but that was it. Mattie said that the baby looked like an alien and wanted to know why it looked like that!!

So we made an appointment to have the 3D ultrasound done on November 10th. Of course my mom wasn't very happy b/c she could not be there due to my cousins wedding in Denver, that I did not get to attend. Anyway, I had eaten spicy Thai food for lunch with Jill that day and well she was dancing and moving all day long so what did she do when we got there SLEEP!! She did have her legs uncrossed so we were able to see that she was a girl, but no good pictures of her face. We got to see her hand and her ear, but not her face. Yes, I do believe she is going to be slightly stubborn!!!

Even though the pictures did not turn out well we were able to see that she was a girl, which I couldn't believe b/c this whole time Mike and I had thought we were having a boy. Mattie of course said, I told you mommy that it was a girl!! I guess kids do know.

So I have been trying to decide the room, the name, and everything else. Everyone knows my favorite color is pink, well Mike asked does the room have to be pink? Really, does he know me?? Of cours the room has to be pink and we found cute bedding to match.

Yesterday we went shopping and registered for what we think we need. I know you can never be fully prepared so if anyone checks out the registry at Babies R Us and sees I didn't register for something that is needed please let me know!!

Some of the big things we are trying not to be to gender specific b/c hopefully we will have another one and get to use all of the stuff again!!

I will write more soon, have another apt on Dec. 3rd.

Time to tell everyone!!

Well this week hit 13 weeks, so we finally felt safe enough to post it on facebook. Although all of our close friends knew, it felt good to finally make it public. Mattie was so excited that she could finally tell everyone at school. I was excited b/c I could tell everyone I was pregnant and not just getting fat :)

The doctor said everything looked good, had an unltrasound and heard a very strong heart beat, but the picture was not very clear. It is crazy that in 6 weeks the baby has tripled in size. Only a few more weeks till we can find out what it is, still going back and forth on that. Not sure what I want to do?
